Trip took about 50 minutes in total. Chap was very friendly and was full of useful info. You really get a view of Cambridge you can’t get from elsewhere.
He could answer any questions we had – whether it was the history of the University, famous alumni or how the colleges have been used in films. Thank you for a delightful trip! It was a cold and sunless morning at first – but we didn’t notice it, dressed up warmly and felt the trip was long enough, very good value and inspired us to visit some of the colleges we saw (another time).
– who was a very personable young guy with plenty of knowledge about the local area and some stories to boot. The tour was about an hour as Jack expertly navigated around / past those steering themselves with less grace.
You get to see some sights you cannot otherwise see on foot, so a good trip to experience
I don’t remember the guide’s name, but he was incredible! He shared the history throughout the whole tour along with some interesting facts (give him a raise! 😉 )
We had a great time punting on the River Cam passing under bridges and observing several of the colleges. Our punt was operated by Adam who was amusing, informative and good at manoeuvring around all the other boats on the river (who were not as experienced).
Jack was brilliant, very friendly, knowledgable and made the trip for us really enjoyable. Very impressed at his language skills too!
